Graduate School Admission Results

Any info of Stanford? Thought their deadline was today?

Heard back later than expected.

Was not expecting this at all. No funding info yet. 20+ months of research experience in physics, engineering, and statistics. 4 strong LORs.

Not surprised, but still a bit dissapointed

CMT/Quantum information theory. 3 years research, 3 strong LoR, 1 first author paper under review. Very nice email saying "we were tremendously impressed by your accomplishments and future plans," which might be something they tell everyone but was at least polite. Sigh.

The email went to my spam folder

hep-ph+cosmology, 1 publication, 1 in preparation, strong letters, SUB 990 :(

Fourth rejection so far. Three years of research, one pending publication, study abroad, and teaching experience. MIT undergrad.

To the poster below: Stanford Applied is a separate program with a separate deadline. Typically the (regular) physics department does not issue acceptances in January, so there's nothing tp be worried about at the moment.

I got an email today , where Stanford asked for my official transcripts, I thought they asked for the unofficial transcripts, does anyone has any ideas ?
