Interview requests (2 faculty 1 student) on 2/1. Completed interviews on 2/6 the deadline was 2/7. Offer via email 2/9. Accepted offer.

Finishing my MA at Cornell, GPA is my MA's GPA which is actually a 4.1/4.3. My research was featured in Nature, Smithsonian Mag, Archaeology Mag, and CNN Science. I was a awarded a Fellowship, helping a professor research his book, and worked full-time throughout my whole degree. The university even uses me and my research as their poster child... basically was told I needed to go to a bigger university for my PHd. Only applied to Cornell this round, so gutted....

I was an employee of Cornell, so it had to have been an issue of not having a faculty member who wanted to advise me. This fucking sucks.

Got an email from admissions committee to set up interviews with two professors (mentioned in my application) and a PhD student on Feb 1. The interviews were mainly about how Cornell can help me achieve my goals. Finally, got the official acceptance letter today (Feb 10) from the committee, as well as the professors. Super excited!

Rej. No interviews. I used their peer-review application material review services and got very positive feedback back then.

I didn't get an interview request, so I figured I wouldn't get in. Pretty disheartening.
