TOEFL 116/120, senior undergrad thesis 10/10, 2.5 years of work experience. Pretty bummed because this was my top choice.

Checked the website because I saw posts from other people about checking the website. Agree with the others saying that it's bullshit for them to not email (and to wait this long to make decisions).

Did not get any funding, other than me being instate.

Does anyone know if/when Maryland has a virtual open day? Also, has anyone who has been placed on the waitlist heard anything since? PS. Please reject if you have an offer/waitlist and don't plan to go, would be dreams come true for me.

Accepted via email, still waiting on some other schools. Super excited! I reached out to some professors before hand :)

Has anyone heard from Maryland? Have offers been made? No news from them at all.

DrPH program in Global Health

Applied for the MGA + Specialization concentration. As an applicant, I have a Bachelor's degree and a Master's degree in applied social science; 3.5 GPA in both degrees. GRE: 168 V; 150 Q; 5.0 AWA. 18 months of ethnographic research experience and 8+ years international work experience in my geographic area of interest; I also speak 3 languages. I was never asked to interview, though I think they do not usually interview for this degree. On 21st March, I received an email to check the portal and I found a polite, generic rejection letter.

Did not expect it but absolutely over the moon to do my dream degree. Background: first-class UK degree (Glasgow), 3 years' work experience (not directly related for the most part). Received the email at 4 PM. Rejection letter was much shorter than I expected it would be. Slightly disappointed but my suspicion is that as a new program at a top tier school they're being extra selective about how they want to frame their reputation and brand

I was a competitive applicant in the traditional sense, however, I didn't really want to apply to this school my professor told me to. I was already admitted to my #1 and #2 with funding. I can't say I tried very hard on the application for ND. Best of luck to everyone else! 6a/0w/1r

very sad. This was my dream school, top choice. I had a feeling they were out of my league.
