1 year research experience besides undergraduate work, no publications. No guaranteed funding.

To the poster below, is this some kind of April fool prank :-P

I was not expecting an admission anyways but still who would not want a surprise admission from Wisconsin - Madison. 1a/1r/6p.

Generic email....

While I have an admit for the MCS program at UC Irvine, I was really looking forward to studying at UW Madison. Devastated is not the word.

Any other applicants to the PMP not receive word yet? Applied 14Mar and status still says "Pending". Application has no checkboxes marked under items received, but it says it can take 14 days to update.

Interesting academic projects, 2+ years of experience, great extra-curricular achievements, 3 strong recommendations and a really well written statement.

Not a top notch profile. But GRE 320, TOEFL 109

Undergrad + Masters at top 5 IIT, publication at tier 1 conference in area. No interviews / prior contact.

Did anyone receive notification yet? F16 and F17 results were out by this time in Feb. :(

PMP (Professional Master). BS in CS from not-well known US university. 6 years exp as software dev at not-well known company and 1 year exp as data analyst at reputable company. GRE Q164/V161/AW3.5.

No financial assistance.
