BS from a relatively unknown university. 3.95/4.00 GPA. Interests: CV, ML theory. Pubs: Top conf (2nd author), top journals (3rd), avg conf (1st*2 , 2nd*1), avg journal (5th). LOR from h index: 45, 20, 10. No GRE. Work: RA intern 5 months, RA 6 months. A large number of national-level competition wins. Some international wins. Applied on 12/12/2020. No interview. Accepted on 02/03/2021 D/M/Y.

At this time, we have placed you on a priority waitlist for funding and admission at the University of Maryland's Department of Economics. My proposed research interests are Public and Behavioral Economics, hopefully they'll admit me.

I logged back in to Terpengage today and it told me to change my password. After that, I saw my application status changed from "Under Program Review (Active)" to "Application Complete (Active)". I didn't see any results or anything else. Anyone else got the same result?

Congratulations to the admitted, any security/privacy area offers?

(no interview, just had to select a decision to post) Has anyone heard back from UMD yet? I feel like it is a lot later than in past years.

To the ones who are accepted: What is the status of your application in the portal?

Got an email saying im admitted but waitlisted for funding due to a lot of deferral. They are not making funded offers as of now, but will decide around Apr 1st.
