Cannot understand why they send rejection so late, since they said they never considered me entering the waitlist.

No interview, but I got an email from the department that I am on the waiting list.

Deadline for submission of application was on the first of January,2024. Please if you have heard anything about descisons for the EEEB PhD program, do say something. I'm thinking of emailing them again though.

Please has anyone heard from WSU on their PhD Biological sciences descisons? Right after December 1 and after some back and forth not heard anything yet.

hep-th -- I wonder why I got rejected so late. I saw so many rejections earlier this week and in march. Doesn't make any sense. Gave me a false hope that I was in running.

I received two rej letter form astro depart of UT Austin through 24fall

Hadn't heard anything about my application despite it nearing the April 15 deadline. Emailed and finally got back "If you haven't heard from us, it means that you have not been selected for admission at this point. Limited additional offers may be possible, but not guaranteed." Extremely unprofessional, but unfortunately doesn't seem uncommon. I know these aren't easy decisions for departments to make, but I wish we were treated like human beings throughout this process.

I've been waitlisted for 2 months at my dream department at UNM. If you've received offers elsewhere and plan to attend, please consider declining the offer here. It's my final hope for admission. Thank you for your understanding.

I can't believe it has been over 4 months. What is the point of having an early deadline if you can't even send your rejection letters out within 4 months? Anyhoo doesn't matter because I got into my preferred program.

Received email this morning from DCT that all spots for incoming class have been filled and that they will not be taking anyone off the waitlist.
