Received an email that I have been accepted into the BDS MS program

Informal acceptance received from POI after I emailed them expressing interest to join the group & got interviewed. Awaiting formal acceptance.

Statistics Department approved admission pending final approval from the Graduate School.

Received a phone call from the graduate admissions committee representative for RPC congratulating me on my admission to the program. Following our conversation, received an email outlining our phone conversation, plus more information on funding. Interviews occurred two weeks ago; interviewed by two fellow faculty members within the concentration, in addition to an initial discussion with POI. I'm elated! Background: Masters (GPA 3.85), no publications, 5+ years of professional experience, 2+ years of research experience.

Received a generic rejection. CMT and had contacted potential supervisor before application.
