Graduate School Admission Results

Applied for program as soon as possible, got accepted within 2 weeks of application. Degree is Geology from the University of Nevada - Reno with some seismic work experience and college level courses taken in environmental science and soil physics.

No GRE, 1 relevant publication, strong letters. Email from adcomm first, then generic status update email 2 days after.

Official admission email from the committee. No funding information yet. It wasn't unexpected as they told me to apply for GTAship asap right after the interview and the PoI also emailed me to put me in contact with her current phd students so I can ask any questions.

Please consider declining if you intend not to accept

second decision. This year is really late. First rejection. Still waiting.

Accepted without funding.

GPA is graduate. Three first-author publications (one Best Paper) with two more in progress, book chapter, four semesters teaching an undergrad class, two semesters as a TA for a graduate class, ~8 months as a referee for an academic journal. Received standard rejection email.

Interviewed last week, received e-mail to check portal today.

I declared not to enter

Top5 predoc, GPA is masters.

Received email around noon CST telling me to login to my portal, the rejection was there. Feeling crushed, Minnesota was my top choice. Very dissapointed.
