Graduate School Admission Results

Interviewed last week, notified by email from faculty on Friday

ttpb: I was interviewed by a faculty last week and got an acceptance email from another faculty yesterday. PI mentioned during the interview that they had a meeting last Friday to discuss the admission results. No mention of funding yet.

I had met with faculty prior to applying (so not like a formal interview) and thought it went really well. However, I just never heard back and got the rejection letter Maybe next cycle! I don't know what to do differently though... congrats to everyone accepted :)

Wondering for the poster below if they had an interview? Could you give more specifics about your acceptance?

I am so excited! I have been waiting since January 15th. Received an email that acceptance was not official, but should be receiving something more official soon.

I received an unofficial notice of admittance in Feb along with the PhD rejection, but I just got notice of full funding yesterday. I'm undecided, but in the case I chose not to go, I will notify them early so that others have the ability to negotiate their funding options!

I have not been officially rejected yet, but I was informed my advisor is unable to take a student in the fall. Indicating that I will most likely be rejected.

not at all surprised- anyone know how many people they wound up admitting?

E-mail to check portal. It's been a brutal year for admissions so I'm not surprised. Congrats to those accepted!

To the other person wondering if other Penn Anthro MA applicants have heard back. I'm still waiting too, and I'd say with bated breath, but my breath is beyond bated. Glad to know I'm not the only one at least!

Accepted into MAPSS after being rejected from the PhD program in Anthropology. I received a 2/3 tuition waiver.

Ignore the interview: Has anyone heard from Northwestern in the past two weeks after first round of rejects?
