Graduate School Admission Results

Already had acceptances at better places so was def a bit surprised

Met with PI before applying. No official interviews. Received a rejection email from PI this morning.

Strong essays and recommendations one from dean of college and one from senator. Didn't submit GRE

Rejected. 1.5 years of in-school internship experience. Going directly into grad with no gap. Strong reference letter, one from an officer at the Department of State.

Interviewed in Feb

Got acceptance by an email. Had an interview end of Feb. With work exp. about more than 4y in eng department.

Received an email to check the portal: "The UC Berkeley campus has a strict enrollment ceiling, and we are thus very limited in the number of new students we may admit each year. The admissions committee in the program you applied to had the difficult task of selecting students with the strongest overall records from a large pool of well-qualified applicants. Unfortunately, this may result in not being able to accept many applicants who are capable or have the potential of excellent academic work. We are sorry we do not have a place for you in this year's class." Kinda saw that coming cuz I didn't have an interview and well... this is Berkeley

Close match to my advisor of interest, but not surprised since I never got invited to interview. Committed to another program

I applied to the March/MCP dual degree option. I was accepted to MCP but rejected from the March program.

Still waiting on official letter and aid info
