Disappointed, as it was my first choice. However, I have an offer from another university; so, not heartbroken.

Just got email that - After careful review of your application and supporting materials, I regret to inform you that we are unable to offer you admission to our program for the Fall 2024 term. This decision is not a reflection on your qualifications. As the number of applications has risen, we increasingly need to turn away qualified applicants to ensure that our class size is small enough so that each student will be able to join a research group. To accomplish this goal, we need an incoming class of 5-10% the size of our applicant pool. This leads to a regrettable situation where we must deny admission to very good students.
