Graduate School Admission Results

Research background did not match. Applied as they were charging same fee for up to three departments. Liked the program though, would have liked to get in.

Checked the website this morning, status changed to "Denied". No email yet.

Mailed the admissions committee. Got a useless reply - "As soon as the admissions committee provides us with their decision, we will email you immediately."

Just curious, are all the acceptance letters sent by a bot at once or done individually? Also, have people received rejection letters yet?

The chair interviewed me on the second day of notification via phone call. I was also notified about the campus visit in late January.

Received the official notification about the acceptance. Undergrad at Wisconsin Madison and did lots of research and very active on campus. The offer letter seems to suggest I was accepted into the PHD program with full funding and TA/Research assistantship. Didn't expect this to happen as I had no publications.

Interviewed, strong POI connection, bummed.

the committee sent me the wrong E-mail. I was actually rejected by PhD program instead of the master's.
