One year of post-bach research, one poster. Admission is for fall 2023

Notified via email I was accepted. Had an interview with 2 clinical faculty, my PI, and phone calls with grad students in the lab of interest.

Have been following a particular lab for 2 years. Attended PI's online talks, interected with PI, corresponded with the PI. But the PI said, can only help if my application clears 1st round of reviews. Have masters degree and research experience. One publication not in good impact factor journal. This is breaking my heart. I thought they would also give weightage to my eagerness.

Has anyone heard back from UCLA regarding whether or not all interviews were sent out yet? Emailed graduate program coordinator on 12/20 and was told that applications for Fall 2023 cohort are still being reviewed, but I have not heard from them since then.

Ignored Admit term. Email from admissions then call from their director same day. It will be 3 days in person, with 6 mini interviews with faculty. BS from TAMUSA 3.52, MS from UTHSCSA. 2 first author publications in prep, RA for ~1 yr. Overall 3-4 yrs research experience from internships and masters program thesis.

START DATE, FALL 2023!!! Admitted for Organic Chemistry- 3.5 GPA, 4 years of research, 1 publication in JACS, 3 letters of recommendation, NO GRE, Statement of Purpose.

Currently in a paid post-bacc research program, and did 2 years of paid research during undergrad. Have done multiple presentations and leadership experiences.
