Graduate School Admission Results

I emailed them again, they reiterated that I'm on wait-list and that they can't comment on the possibility of my admission. I'm really scared, the way they are replying makes me feel I'm very low on the list.

Emailed the admisions committe inquiring about my app status. They replied very soon with the next info: " We are in the process of reviewing applications. Due to the large number of applications the program receives, it takes some time to review each file to make a final decision. We understand that you may have deadlines fast approaching and are eager to receive your decision from NYU; however, we will be unable to guarantee a date on when you will receive that decision. Regrettably, we are not able to disclose admission information on individual applications at the Department level. Once a decision has been made, you will notified by the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences"

I asked and they said that they will send out decisions by mid-March.

Rejected off the waitlist...

14 people waitlisted.

I asked about my status, they said they had enough successful applications and I am on the second tier hold list. They said they will not be making an offer of admission.

Please accept as I do not want to go there :P

I was interviewed by my prospective adviser on 1/25. Funding $23k per year for two years, plus a $5k special entrance scholarship.
