I truly did not think I'd even get in because of my GPA, but I applied anyway. I have 7 years of work experience, including 3 years on Capitol Hill (1.5 years at a Military Legislative Assistant). I had a strong story for my interest in technology and national security, having worked in tech in the private sector. I think my work experience and recommendation letters most likely tipped me over. If you're worried about your GPA, apply anyway and see what happens! All the advice I got about the Committee placing high value on work experience turned out to be correct. I did not take the GRE, and instead wrote an analytical essay on lethal autonomous weapons systems. |
