Graduate School Admission Results

Anyone else applied for the Priority 1 Deadline and still haven't heard anything? Do the different deadlines even mean anything at all?

Weird. Was interviewed beginning of March and waitlisted 2 weeeks ago and still haven't heard back. But have seen that Americans have just been invited to interview and have received offers.. Are they pausing offers to international students?

TTPB: Yes, Columbia admission is rather slow. Any information on the next wave?

Why does Columbia take so long to review applications!? Is the early application deadline a joke? Or are they just reviewing applications on a last-In-First-Out basis!? I'm seeing people who applied right before the second deadline getting their decisions. Meanwhile, I'd applied way back in October 2019, interviewed on March 10, 2020; And my application portal still shows "Submission status: Complete and submitted. You can still update any section.". Seriously, what the hell? Why not just send out a reject instead of making me wait so long. Wouldn't have applied so early had I known this would be the scenario.

TTPB: Yes, it changed to "Complete and submitted." Last time I checked, which was yesterday, it was "Complete and submitted you can still update or something"

TTPB: Congrats! Did your status change from "Can still update any section"? Also, when did you submit your application and when was your interview? What does the status on mice read?

Have any of the PhD rejects being considered for MS heard back yet?

TTPB: grad faq says you can edit until app is under review. any other people still in the same boat that can still edit application? have they not gotten to reviewing all apps yet?

Has anyone been rejected for PhD and being considered/admitted for MS? I received an interview request on the 24th of March.

TTPB: Mine does. Probably a reject :(

Does anyone's status still say 'you can still update any section' and 'decision pending'?

TTPB: The acceptance rate is usually between 25-40 percent. However only a VERY small fraction of the admitted people actually attend the program which means most kids put this as a backup choice.

Anyone know how selective this program is? compared to Berkeley EECS Meng?

Applied right before the deadline received one way interview in March

Anyone know if their admits are delayed? I can still edit my application online, does this mean it hasn't been reviewed yet? Anyone admitted saw their status change before hearing back?

Accepted to GSAT after a presentation and interview with a prospective lab that went well.
