1 international first-author publication, 1 national first-author publication, three other national publications. B.S. in the social sciences. Interviewed w/ faculty late January, with some further correspondence through the beginning of February. Incredibly excited!

I expected not to get admission... Because I am an international applicant and only about 10% of applicants are usually accepted. Too low chance. And many students have no funding from the school even phD.

Dumbfounded, as I last year I was waitlisted and, despite having talked with a faculty member and two former students about how to improve my application this Fall, I don't even get offered an interview this year. How is that even possible?

(to the post below) Yes, they invited us. About 60~70. Sorry, the department didn't mention anything about that. As long as you are not rejected, there is still a chance. Good luck!

One professor set up a interview and told me to wait for official email of acceptance. Interviewed with another professor(POI) a week ago.
