Sub 3.0 GPA and only one semester of research experience

Ridiculous. Completely do not understand why they procrastinated until the Apr 15 agreement was resolved before sending out rejections that were decided months ago. USC Linguistics is not that prestigious to fake these attitudes -- come on!

Finally heard back from USC. Congrats to those who are admitted! But USC has given me the worst application experience so far.

Did not hear any news from them throughout this time. When I sent an email to inquire about my status, I was responded precisely with "We were not able to admit you." Nothing for. Well, at least, the applicants deserve to receive the official letter no matter what the outcome is.

TTPB, there is an unofficial PhD offer posted on March 4th, but you can only see it if you search for results from your phone/tablet.

Interviewed in early January. Was promised by POIs that they would keep me updated, but no message whatsoever after the interview. Not surprised to see the generic rejection email asking me to check the portal today. Glad that I had other offers this year.

Ignore the status. I haven't got anything back from UBC. I saw someone before say that he or she had seen an acceptance posted in March. Could I ask where the acceptance was posted? I haven't seen any results this year on the GradCafe. (I don't know why but I can't make a comment on any results so I ask this question in this way.)

Ignore waitlist. Has anyone heard back from UBC? this is getting ridiculous. I've seen an acceptance posted in March -- which means that they've probably sent out all the offers. Why are they letting applicants wait for this long?

Will be accepting! Is there a group for CLMS admits?

Not actually waitlisted. Besides the 4 informal acceptances posted on the GradCafe, has anyone actually received anything from USC???? So ridiculous that they have already made decisions (I'm 100% sure that they already knew who they are going to reject before conducting the interviews in late Jan) but still procrastinating sending the letters, like, why???

Getting an MA currently, GPA for that 3.9. Got an email about an accepted students visiting day but no letter of admission yet? Anyone else in this position?
