Received Email today from Tom saying I'm accepted. The official offer will be sent out later. Two-year GA + Dean's fellow. Gonna accept this offer. Good luck to everyone.

UMD is using a new app portal this year causing delays for everyone. Received BISI-MOCB acceptance via email with letter and funding attached. Still waiting for portal to update.

Rejected, notified via email to check portal. No interview offered!

God only knows what's going on at UMD. If they plan to reject anyone who did not receive an active consideration e-mail, why don't they just reject us and put those folk on an official waitlist?

TTBP: I haven't heard anything from them since I applied. I did NOT receive that "active consideration" email.

Applied to the UMD MS applied economics program on Feb 9th. Got an email from the Econ department that I was recommended. Still no decisions in the portal. They said it'll take 1-2 weeks since the recommendation (back on March 7).

TTPB: In the portal, it is saying under program review. And it has been a long time, they haven't replied to my mail as well. I don't know it is a rejection or not.

To the poster stating "I asked them about my profile and then they sent me this : Decisions are still in process. Offer letters are going out on a rolling basis at this time and will continue through the end of March. I consider this as a rejection!": Was this in response to my inquiry regarding folks who had received the "active consideration" notice a month ago? Or had you not heard anything since applying?

Email from the director of Graduate Studies. Portal does not reflect admission decision. Should be receiving the formal offer of admission shortly!

Got an offer with Dean's Fellowship. Area: Comp Bio. 2 conference pubs, 1 first author. Master's in CS. Decent GPA, no GRE. Was torn between this and another offer, ended up accepting elsewhere today. Good luck to others!

[Not interview] Any news after the interview?

Area: Biomedical engineering. Had interview with prof in December. Background: BSEE in Japan and MSME at top university in the US. No publication.

Interviewed by POI last week and he said that there will be another round of acceptance sent out later this week. Good luck to everyone!

Turned down offer over weekend. Hopefully opens up spot.

Also got an App-ID. Gotta love UMD and their weird portal. People, please reject your offer from UMD if you decided on some place else. They prob have an internal waitlist considering that they have still not released the rejections.

Does anyone have any updates about UMD MSCS? The portal as a new app ID but that's the only change

Emailed to check portal for acceptance off of the waitlist - will be releasing the offer as I had accepted my first choice already! Hope this helps someone - great program!
