Materials Science And Engineeirng, Stanford University Although your academic credentials are certainly outstanding, the large size and excellent quality of this year's applicant pool for our graduate program required us to deny admission to many qualified students such as yourself. We are a relatively small department in terms of faculty size, and we go to great measure to ensure that we can adequately supervise all of our admitted graduate students.

Environmental Earth System Science (EESS), Stanford University 2 first authored papers (one in prep.) with high impact journals (+1 proceedings paper), >2 years research position as project leader, multiple conference presentations, external peer-reviewer with high impact US journal, relevant uni course tutoring. Don't know how much more I could've done :(
