Email from dgs; interviewed last week.

I didn't expect to get in, their department is pretty broke right now.

Meh, I already got full funding at another great program! : ) E-mail directing to website. Used my name and were pretty nice about it too.

Received email to check application site.

Call from DGS, Full-funding. BOOM! Its was either classics or computer science and I choose classics, despite parent's disapproval, though parents certainly "helped" me get in.

I emailed a professor I have worked with at Chicago and asked about my application status. He told me I was not accepted and that the competition was particularly fierce, so the primary focus of the applicants was the amount of years in the ancient languages. Good luck to the other applicants!
