History, Stanford University Email to check website for decision letter. Expected rejection, my POI told me he was interested in my work, but retiring, and didn't think others in the department would fit it either. I should have just withdrew my application after that, but by then rec. letters already sent, so just felt might as well still submit the app. Should have just saved my ego a hit.

English Literature, Stanford University Eh, I'll survive. One acceptance to a program that I'm very excited about. I'm happy. Although, inadequacy still sets in despite the acceptance when I see folks getting into a bunch of top programs (and happy-- the application process is not fun). Congrats to everyone who got in!

Bioengineering, Stanford University Received an email from one of my interviewers congratulating me and letting me know of the admission offer. Official offer letter is to follow in a couple of days. Absolutely stoked!
