3.7 Undergrad GPA 3.89 Grad GPA 9 years experience in the field and admittance to another Premier research institutions Joint Ph.D. program. Clearly I wasn't good enough for the elitist malarky of U of M, but I was good enough to be a potential placeholder - in case those who were better dropped. I did refrain from telling them I would rather stick red-hot needles in my eyes than be on their "alternate list." Michigander here with a now bigger chip on my shoulder when it comes to UMICH

Accepted with guaranteed full funding for 5 years. Fellowship for first year and RA/TA support for subsequent years.
