Got a rej from the program coordinator, said they cannot offer me admission but I can be considered to enroll in the master's program. No, definitely no, i already got my master's degree from UCSD.

I was invited for an interview a few weeks ago by one of my POIs and never heard back from them since the interview. I wonder if there is anyone who also took the interview heard about the final decision. GPA from master's.

Applied straight out of UG. Non-STEM UG major.

1 year research experience, 1 submission. Funding as TA

Professor asked me why I want a Ph.D. I told him I'd like to purdue my studies IN linguistics. My response seemed to wabash him, I got my acceptance the next day.
