TTPB: I'm not sure about the rest, but for UIUC, judging off of the posts here acceptance offers for CMT and maybe Biophysics are probably all sent. There's no mention of any HEP related offers so I'm quite sure HEP offers are yet to be sent. At least I hope so :(

Does anyone know if any of these are done with offers? Also, ignore the interview, for some reason I can't choose other in there.

Has anyone received official letter from UCI with financial support?

We have sent out responses to applicants whom we were able to make an offer in the first round and are now working on informing everyone else. Unfortunately, you are not in this first round of offers. We had many strong applications and fewer positions than normal this year so unfortunately, we had to reject many excellent applications. There is a small chance that we will have a second round of offers in the March-April timeframe in case we have fewer acceptances than positions. Therefore, we may be considering your application again if we need to add a second round of candidates. We will notify you once again in April when this process is final.

CMT

Also HEP-ex and waiting. Looking at the Physicsgre.com forums, it seems that many people are still waiting on decisions for Cornell. Most people waiting seem to have offers from schools in the top 25 or better, but I would assume that a majority of us that are waiting will not be accepted. Perhaps I am too pessimistic...

TTPB: Cornell looks at each application fully, which a lot of schools don't do. So that's why it's taking so long. I heard this from a professor at Cornell. Have any education-focused people heard anything?

Ttpb: did you do any interview or have any sort of contact since you submitted your application? Or did they just contact you out of the blue?

TTPB: To the CMT person who had interview with POI at around mid Feb below, have u got a offer?

TTPB: If u r asking about the PhD program whose deadline is Jan. 8th, they send me the interview request on Feb. 15th and ask me to reply before 18th. So I guess if u don't receive anything today, u probably don't get into the interview.

anyone heard anything yet from Stanford or Berkeley?

Since they release the accepted students last week, should we consider our status as a doomed rejection?

Got a rejection after enquiring about my application status directly from POI.. Had one publication, did my undergrad and masters from a top rank college in India.. Took reco from best people in India (hep-th) .. It is really hard to figure out where one stands in this competition, and where it is practical to apply..
