Graduate School Admission Results

Didn't take the GRE. I emailed the program coordinator on 22/02, and she said I'm on the waitlist. I didn't ask for my rank because I was going to accept a different program's offer and am not too optimistic about my chances either.

WOO accepted!! Got an email saying to check the portal. Seems like they have a pattern of releasing decisions for MENV the last Friday in February. Applied in Sept.

Anyone else got an email that portal has been updated, but after checking there's no update?

I have received unofficial acceptance after the interview.

I got my admission offer in November, but they hadn't made funding decisions then. I emailed the program coordinator on 22/02, and he said I'm on the funding waitlist. I don't know my rank, and I'm not hopeful about my chances, so I've already chosen another program. I won't let my anxiety get the best of me!

Update on portal. Felt a bit humiliated but perhaps I should not :)

I mean, it was a long shot. Somehow i'm excited that at least I can hear back from a school even if it's a rejection 💀. I'm just livid at this point. Second rejection of the season.

2 years of research in solid-state circuits (EE), R1 university, no publications, 1 year of R&D work in industry. Really happy!

Average Academics, pretty bad GRE, but spectacular entrepreneurship portfolio with my award-winning robotics start-up and multi-million dollar projects. No publications, but 2 research experiences, 2 internships. No scholarship given despite applying by Priority Deadline.

Update on portal, expected as I was not interviewed + my research interests were probably not a great fit in a literature dept. (2a/1w/5r/4p)

With my acceptance I also got a prestigious "merit-based Dean of Engineering" scholarship that covers full tuition. No publications, but 2 research experiences, 2 internships.
