Applied for Quantum Information Science. No interview, this was the only notification from application was submitted.

Re: UCSD has done sending offers long time ago. Better look for other options if you have any. They are just too busy to send out rejection letters.

One paper has been approved last month, and I'm working on getting feedback on another. About one year of research in astro. Totally did not expect to get in, but am super excited and will probably go! Also, I think someone asked whether there were interviews, I didn't get an interview from Stanford, and I've been told by some other students that they haven't had interviews in past years either. Also, would love to hear from the person who posted a while ago about how they applied to only Stanford because of how amazing their letter of recs were. Just would be good to know the kind of students I would have in my cohort if I go lol

To those who got in to better schools, please reject Johns Hopkins, It's my top school. Does anyone also get the waitlist email? I sent an email asking how many other applicants are before me but they didn't answer.

(other, not waitlist) TTPB: According to the email I got, the open house is March 22-23, so more like three weeks away.

Ignore the waitlist, this is for the person who asked if anyone got an acceptance. I received my acceptance last week, I know they're doing a virtual open house in two weeks. I hope this information helps

I thought I had a really good chance of getting in. 1 year HEPth research, graduated in 3 years.

Subfield Cosmology. I literally don't care at all because I just got into my top choice Berkeley.

My top choice!! Subfield cosmology, offer letter mentions that there were 1200 applicants for the Physics PhD program this year.

İt's hard getting rejected from your safety, but at least the email said that they were tremendously impressed by my accomplishments and future goals :).
