Computer Science, UC Santa Cruz (UCSC) TTPB (the one who got letter on 13th): Were you contacted by your POI before this? Did you have any interview? How long before this did you know that you have been admitted? Also, can you tell us the area in which you applied?

Astronomy, UC Santa Cruz (UCSC) TTPB: This is the response I received on asking about the status of application: Thank you for your email. The admissions committee is still reviewing applications and finalizing their decision process. Official offer letters will likely not be sent until March. Physics, UC Santa Cruz Email says that will send a formal letter of rejection or acceptance by April latest. It sounds like they sent out all acceptances already though. My GRE scores are pretty bad/average, but I have loads of research experience, a few publications, plus I'm sure it helps that I have my BS from UCSC.

Physics, UC Santa Cruz (UCSC) TTPB: It may be possible that they send out all the offers by notification, and the rest of the admission decisions, which are/will be processed by the Graduate Division are mostly rejections and wait-list position. If they really want to admit us, they would surely send us a notification. I am giving up hope for this school at this point. Good luck to y'all.

Physics, UC Santa Cruz (UCSC) TTPB: I just emailed UCSC about when they would post decisions and I immediately got the response, "My apologies for the delay, we are waiting for the Graduate Division to begin processing decisions. Hopefully we will let applicants know in the next two weeks" Who did you contact who said they already sent out acceptances?
