Graduate School Admission Results

Beginning to plan a different career. I hope the few lucky ones have a great experience.

Experience in labs, field school, double major, good rec letters.

I have a field school, student research assistant experience, double major in Biology and Anthropology, good letters of rec. Not sure I have any funding though.

Quite despondent at this moment

Full funding and assistantship. I had a zoom call with the professor a few months back.

Sociocultural. Emailed about a portal update. I contacted a professor last year, a leader in my research area, and they found my topic relevant. I wasn’t invited for an interview and hadn’t received any updates until today, when I got a generic rejection letter for my application. " Thank you for applying to the University of California, Davis, for graduate study. Your application has been carefully reviewed by the Graduate Admissions Committee of the Anthropology graduate program and by UC Davis Graduate Studies. I regret to inform you that your application for graduate study at UC Davis for Fall Quarter 2025 was not approved".

I got 20k funding though I was hoping for atleast 2/3rd. If anyone knows how to secure funding, please comment.
