Just notified by an official email. Interview of PoI last week. Field: nlp.

Sneaky Reject. Applied for MS/PhD program

To the people who got admitted, Can you please share your profile. Also, there are a bunch of admits on Feb 17th and Feb 22nd. Does any one have idea if more admits are left ?

Congrats to all the Amherst admits. I had a query did any of you apply to the MS track alone or did you all apply to the MS+PhD track?

I had applied for the MS/PhD program and my "Graduate Application Center" shows my status as accepted along with an explanation for acceptance. However I'm unable to figure out where the student center is(where we have to accept/reject the offer). I'm also unable to figure out if the accept is for PhD or MS. Those who have received offers from UMass, did you also receive a formal decision letter somewhere? Also please could you guide me on how you reached the student center? Is the interface different for different students?

Bloody losers. Mailed them on Friday and till yesterday they kept saying we are still reviewing profiles. Today suddenly the portal has a "decision letter" which is a rejection. F**K off

Guys chill. It takes about 2 days for spire to change. Even the student grad center thing showed up after 2 days, and my status hasn't even changed yet. Don't lose hope.

Still says under review :( Anyone else?

To the posters below who got acceptance to MSCS at Umass, when did you submit your application?

I got an email saying to check spire as the status of my application has changed but spire says update pending, which is exactly what it said earlier. I don't know what this means. Is spire just not showing the latest status or was the email just to notify me that the current status is 'update pending'?

I'm one of the accepted posters. I applied to the MS/ Ph.D. program. My letter just said congratulations on being accepted into the Ph.D. program, though.

First admit of the season! Applied on 2 dec for systems specialization. GPA 8.6 from an NIT in India. 4 relevant projects and 2.5 yr work ex. TOEFL 111. No publications.

reply TTPB, area is AI/ML. The prof is one of the profs I have mentioned in my SOP. I have 3 published papers, few years of industry experience. My total experience in the field is about 5 years.
