Graduate School Admission Results

(Ignore Interview.) I've heard nothing from NU, wondering whether it is an IR or wl. Please comment if you're in the same situation.

I haven't received any notification so far so I emailed them to ask. This is what they replied to me, "you are on the waitlist for our program and will receive more formal communication in the future. ". just waiting list for the meaning?

~2 years of research experience, 1 REU. Had an Interview in January and finally heard back

Was my one of my top choices, so I'm glad to finally hear back with a great offer letter. Contacted the possible PI about my interest in his research and how I got introduced to him during my internship. I also described how I have kept in touch with the center I interned at for future research opportunities because my home institution does not have people doing research in the same field. The professor got back to me with a good response within two days however not confirming admission to the program, I got the acceptance three days later. I used to check this forum every day so thought I should drop the result here. Please contact the person you want to work with if you think you know a lot about their work and would like to really join their research group, it helps and its not too late.

Because your interest in the University is deeply appreciated, this decision is not easy to convey. Though your plans cannot be accommodated at Northwestern University, the faculty and administrators of The Graduate School respect your intellectual ambition and wish you success in attaining your goal of advanced study."

Hello. If I have not heard anything from the program (no interview invitation, no waitlist notif) is it safe to assume I have gotten rejected? (someone please help!)

So does anyone know why Northwestern hasn't sent any notifications to a few of us yet?
