Tier 1 Indian University, received a call regarding me not being selected for MS CS from their South Asian Office, asked me whether I am interested in another similar program (non campus) This one is painful

Had applies for the MS-PhD track, but got admitted to the MS track... Oh well, an accept's an accept! Better than a reject any day!

GPA is grad. I thought it was a great fit. Disappointed. 1a/4r/11p

3 top tier conf. publications(one first author), two strong recommendations(I hope so!). I think they are still sending out the accept notifications. So, please keep your hopes high :).

Did any accepted candidates attend the Candidate Friday event? How was your experience? Is there a group for Fall 18 admits to discuss this?

MS/PhD application. The huge number of applications from India must have made my damaged my chances.

Amherst has 2 waves of admits every year, which have passed. Only rejection decisions will be made now. Have lost faith in God.

Just got the admit letter on spire. Relieved to have the first admit.

The University typically receives many more applications from qualified applicants than there are spaces available.

I send an email to the CS dept a couple of days ago and they said "we aim to have all our decisions made by the end of March". There's already a mass wave of Masters decision and several PhD accepts/rejects but I receive nothing till now. Anyone still waiting to hear back?

Got notified about a change in my application on the 7th (IST). The update took about 24 hours to get reflected on Spire. Standard denial letter.

Undergrad from IIT Kharagpur

Received reject after 30 hours of "update pending" on website.
