Given my diverse background of being half east asian, half south-east asian, and half american, I am proud to represent my homies from the mid. Thanks, ghost of Leland Stanford Jr, I wont let you down.

Phone call at the end of the day from first choice PI - email to check portal came less than half an hour after

Surprisingly much earlier than expected, probably wasn't a fit at all. It was my fifth choice, so I can see why. Still waiting on my first choice.

First no. Had two research projects with conference presentations and publications. Did Stanford summer program w LOR from one Aero/Astro professor. Minority (first-gen, Hispanic, low-income), full-ride UG, three honor societies, placed in engineering competitions, and internship experiences.

Well, have anticipated that all along. But at least I see the signature of my idol!!!!! Congrats to the geniuses who got in, you guys rock!!!!

No GRE and no TOEFL. I was notified to check the portal in the morning of Feb 11th in my time zone. It was a long shot for me but I'm still disappointed anyway. Feel a bit better when seeing a lot of dissapointed fellows here. You are not alone!
