Applied to eight PhD programs in EALC. Received rejections from six. Tried hard asking all of them to transfer my applications to MA programs. Too late. Only UMich and USCB agreed to do so. UMich is more interdiciplinary, while UCSB has better weather and stongest program in gender studies, which will become my concentration. Hope that UCSB can accept me too. |
