Finance, University of Houston I am writing this note as some people could be biased. I am also studying finance in the US (but not UH), and a friend of mine studied at UH. After looking at the post below, I told it to him. He said that he also heard that some students were kicked out, but some of the post below look exaggerated. At least for the last 6 years, much more than 50% of students got offers from academia, and half of them were working on corporate finance; the others on asset pricing.

Finance, University of Maryland Global Campus TPB: I am keeping offers from BC and Indiana. I gave up UW Foster simply because of location preference (I'd like to stay in the mid or east, for personal reasons). I think Foster is a great choice as it has a great group of faculty members, and their placement has been on the rise. Hope this helps!

Finance, University of Maryland Global Campus TPB: Thanks for sharing information. I have sent an email to UW last week to update my status, but haven't received their response yet. I hope it's not a bad signal. I will decline my Maryland offer immediately if I have better choice. Would you mind telling me the funding package of UW-Foster? Thanks a lot!

Finance, University of Maryland Global Campus TPB: I actually declined an offer from UW Foster last week. They mentioned that they made 5 offers. So if you are on the waitlist, I think there is a high chance that you will get an offer. I haven't heard any thing from Maryland after the interview, so I'm assuming it's an implicit waitlist. I have a preference for Maryland over other programs, so it would be great if you can kindly decline your Maryland offer as soon as you had better options. Thanks!

Finance, University Of Texas At Austin TPB: I am sorry that I haven't been monitoring the GradCafe for a while so I didn't post this earlier. Just FYI, my timeline is the following: **3/7**: Received an email asking for the interview; Interviewed on 3/9, and I was told I'm on the finalist. **3/19**: Received the official offer. I've already accepted the offer and decline the others. Good luck to you guys!
