Graduate School Admission Results

It's weird people have been officially waitlisted, rejected, and now waitlisted then rejected. I still have yet to hear anything at all... And it's not just UMich. Seems like people have heard lots of admits and rejects at rice but I'm still just sitting here waiting.

Got an email from a professor that I'd interviewed with offering me a position in his group. There is a visit day on March 13. My specialization is fluids, and I'm a physics major if that's helpful for anyone.

This hurt when it initially hit home (when others got accepted). But I feel like I know what I could've done better, and maybe it will be different next year.

FLAS funding notification to come by the 15th.

Apply for PhD, but admitted as master.

Accepted via email from program director with funding letter attached.

I am waiting too. There seems to be a wave of rejections, so i don't have high expectations.

Received phone calls this afternoon. Make choices about On-site interview (either in Jan. or Feb.)

TPB: oh my god you too? I paid like 100 boxes for the application and they are telling me that I do not deserve to get even a reply. LOL. NOTHING changed in Wolverine, no notification of waitlisting, now I even doubt if I am really on the waitlist, perhaps their system missed me a rejection.

To the other Information Science applicants, did you receive the invite from the PI? When are they scheduling calls for? Thanks!

I was offered the interview at 16 Jan. However, I asked to postpone the interview to next week, and I haven't received new scheduling about the interview. I am still waiting for an additional interview offer from u of M.
