Fall 2023*

Emailed to ask about interview invites. I assume waitlisted for now as they have already sent initial round of invites and will be making additional decisions soon (c)

4 years post grad in neuroscience 3 in computational, 1 in wet lab, 1 publication, 2 posters at conferences

For Fall 2023. Did not take GRE. Undergrad institution: UC Berkeley (California community college transfer, first-gen, and re-entry student). Undergraduate Degree: B.A. in Psychology. Two years of experience in a systems neuroscience lab as an undergrad (completed my honors thesis in this lab). Six months of experience so far in a cognitive neuroscience lab at UC Berkeley (where I currently work as a lab manager & research assistant. Graduated in December 2021). No publications yet. Currently working on a poster abstract (mentioned this in personal statement).

Interviews are Jan 12-13th or Jan 26-27th, in person.

Masters, 2 years of research experience, two published abstracts and one oral presentation at conference

2 years research experience, first author paper in review at high impact journal. Was expecting this rejection, they got a ton of apps!

Other applicant shared the news that we're didn't receive an interview on 12/16/22, that equals rejection. Sigh.

For fall 2023. Brown gave multiple January dates to choose from for virtual interview.

Thesis master's GPA 4.0, 2nd bachelor's GPA 3.45, a 2nd author pub, 1 poster. Rejected because of unrelated 1st bachelor's degree GPA of 3.0. Emailed and was told all interview notifications were sent out 12/19.

(Fall 2023) Heard from the department that all interview invites were sent on 12/16 and that the official rejection letter will only be sent around March. If you haven't received an interview invite Friday, you are no longer being considered for Harvard PiN.

For fall 2023

3.45 GPA from a highly rated public university, no GRE. 32 months part time, 27 full time research experience. 2 co-author publications, 1 poster presentation and 1 oral presentation from international conferences. In-person interview in late February.
