Graduate School Admission Results

Sent an email to the admissions office to ask about the results of my admission, and soon received an email to check the portal. Only rejection, no reason given. Very unpleasant application experience.

GPA is from an MA. Have been rejected by the department for three years in a row, guess it's time to say goodbye to McMaster...

Offers of admission came out on the exact same day last year, so I appreciate their consistency since it is so difficult waiting for these decisions as an applicant. For any future applicants reading this: I applied at the very beginning of November 2022, received an email inviting me to an interview January 25th, completed my interview on February 17th, and received an offer of admission on March 9th. For what it's worth: I was rejected from a few schools prior to this offer, and I started to doubt myself. This is such a tough and mysterious process -- I'm happy to answer questions if you DM me. Truly surprised given that McMaster is simply a third-tier university in Canada.

Undergrad in Child, Youth and Family Studies, minor in Psychology. Experience as an SLP-A and a placement in a school shadowing an SLP. Rejected and not offered an MMI based on S-GPA not being high enough.
