Graduate School Admission Results

I wrote to ask what was going on with admissions. I heard that we were likely to know in the next two weeks and that "While we have not yet finished our admissions process, if you have not yet heard from us, it is unlikely that you will be offerred [sic] admission."

Receive an e-mail of waitlist for admission and funding. Wondering if anyone receives a priority waitlist. Not sure if they also indicate waitlist and priority waitlist this year. Maryland is my dream school and first priority. For those accepted applicants who are not interested in taking, pleasssssse reject it. Much appreciated!

Got an email. The online application is not updated.

Applied for PhD but got MS without funding. Declined.

Accepted by the program, but still need to secure an advisor (and funding), or the acceptance fizzles. Their website is severely out of date on advisors, as all the ones I've heard back from are retired or retiring.

No interview. Full funding.

Email from the graduate college, not even the program. Seems generic enough to potentially be a form letter.

Got notified by POI. Similar feelings and experience as poster below, there was something fundamentally wrong with this program. I got very weird, hostile vibes during their week long interview process, especially from their few POC (2) faculty members vs. white faculty and the students, like a lot was implied and left unsaid that this is a toxic environment. I accepted the offer from my top choice and am so glad to be done with this process!!! Good luck to all!!!

Did not expect to make it considering that I have a background in CS with minimal design experience, on top of that I did not have the time to properly make a portfolio.
