East Asian Languages And Cultures, Columbia University E-mailed to check the portal. Finally rejected after long waiting, regardless of reference from an alumnus. Proposed to study about Chinese original musicals, maybe too small-crowded to be accepted, or maybe because of the low GRE scores. For those of you who want to apply for this program in the future, high GPA and language proficiency are not enough. Research experiences are needed to prove solid academic competence. And a conventional study interest may be safer than a unique one. Anyway, looking forward to starting my journey at the NYU PAA program, and best wishes to those who got admitted! : )

East Asian Studies, University of California-Los Angeles Accepted by UCLA, rejected by UCSB. Did two years of working experience in local Chinese law firm, worked in Chinese non-profit organization, and currently teaching Chinese and Afterschool class to Chinese Americans. Constantly taking relevant classes in local community college and online coursera platform. Had family hardship and managed to strive.

East Asian Languages And Cultures, University of Southern California Since I submitted my application 3+ months ago I got no responses to emails, no one picking up phones, nothing. Completely ghosted. Today I logged into the website and found out I was rejected. The letter was dated 3/21, but it wasn't posted until today.
