Philosophy, City University Of New York (CUNY) (Ignore waitlist.) Don't know whether the application season is as brutal every year, but it seems this year's been very tough for many of us. I've applied to 23 schools, got waitlisted at 3 mid-ranked ones, accepted to 1 of those 3, and still waiting to hear from CUNY, FSU, and UC Davis. Congratulations to those of you who got their offers, good luck to those of you who are hanging there by a thread still waiting to hear back from a school, and of course wish a better season to all those who will be reapplying in the next year.

Sociology, City University Of New York (CUNY) American student from T20 MA program with a published paper and three research projects. Was originally waitlisted months ago. Heard back from program earlier this week that 1 spot might open up on waitlist and I was the top pick. Emailed today that the last accepted person to not reply missed the deadline, so I was accepted. Very good fit, 5 years funding, 28k stipend. This is my only acceptance so I'm extremely excited.

Economics, New York University We're sorry to say that the NYU admission process is over for this year. We had over 700 candidates and you made it a far way in our admission process. We would have been happy to admit each of you but at the end we had to end it before we could make you an offer..

Social And Cultural Analysis, New York University (NYU) Long awaited. This program was my top choice and I'm both thrilled and stunned to have been accepted. I had emailed NYU in March asking when decisions would be released and had been told they would come out by the last week of March. The first week of April I reached out again, and was told they would be out by the end of the week. This week (the second week of April) I was heavily anticipating a response and also coming to terms with the fact that the response would likely be a rejection. I happened to get an email to check my portal and my acceptance letter was there. I'm absolutely over the moon and will be accepting this offer. I'm wishing well to everyone else on their journeys!
