I asked the professor who interviewed me and he told me that the decision has not yet been made. What me and my friend think is that they are waiting for econ phd to finalize their decision, since financial econ program has started anew (and students applied for financial econ program should be admitted to both econ and finance at the same time), so it will require some more time.
