English, Ohio University-Main Campus Received a not-so-kindly worded e-mail very late at night; it basically said that I was not as competitive as those accepted. Kind of harsh, Ohio State: “We have received your application for admission to the English, Doctor of Philosophy program at The Ohio State University for the autumn 2020 semester. After careful consideration of your application, I'm sorry to inform you that the Graduate Studies Committee did not approve your admission to the program. In light of a highly competitive applicant pool, your application was not as competitive as others the committee reviewed. On behalf of the Graduate School, we appreciate your interest in Ohio State, and we wish you success in your future studies.â€

American Studies, College of William & Mary So not only did William & Mary lose my GRE scores and make me pay to submit twice, but they've now called me "Mr." in my form rejection letter. I made it very clear to them in my application that I'm trans and my legal gender is female. This is not a program that has their act together. Glad I'm already going somewhere else.
