Graduate School Admission Results

To the MPhil IR poster looking for additional information on qualifications, I have a 9/10 GPA from an international university, 2 years work experience during my undergrad working in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, including one internship at an embassy abroad. I also have supervised research experience.

To whoever claimed below that I was "lying" about my acceptance, I can assure you I was not "trolling". I have no reason to lie on an anonymous forum...I don't get any validation, recognition, likes or anything like that. I am not sure where you are getting your information about decisions being released strictly in April, but you are misinformed. Admissions are on a rolling basis anywhere from February to the end of April. I am indeed an international student so perhaps it was due to visas as the poster below suggested. Getting accepted to this program is a big accomplishment for me so there's no need to go trash talking. All I can say is I wish you the best of luck and success in your application and hopefully you hear back soon as well.

Received a packet in the mail. I'll probably accept it unless I hear from another school.

Invited to on-campus interview day on March 12th

3 years of research no publications 2 poster presentations at national conferences

Rejected via email, completely blindsided was at least hoping for a waitlist. This program would rather take 4.0 students who don't speak and are very quiet than to those with a 3.7-3.8 and are outgoing, eager to learn, and participate in class. Either way Sac State missed out on a great applicant I'll be taking my great personality somewhere else.

Third rejection for HCI so far. Looks bleak...

So excited to have been accepted! This is my second year applying to graduate schools but first time applying to SU. This is also my first acceptance letter! Nice to know I will definitely be continuing my education next year. Waiting to hear back from other schools. Not sure if I will accept SU's offer just yet but considering it!
