I have no clue whether the status is supposed to change. It seems to be implied here: gradengineering.columbia.edu/faq/application in that we'll be unable to modify our materials while the admissions committee is reviewing our applications. This is my second time applying and second time getting wait listed. I attended undergrad there and graduated in May 2016. I know plenty of other alumni who have been waitlisted and some other alum who were wait listed for a second year. It is upsetting that they do not consider their own alum enough. I received an offer from a better program today so I am not as hurt but I know other individuals who are. |
