E-mail to check portal, generic and weirdly phrased rejection letter. Whatever, already have an offer from a school that's a better fit

Was expecting this rejection since my POI emailed me last week indicating that she did not extend interview invites to anyone because she may be relocating to another university at the end of the semester. Initials are: SCB.

I saw that someone was wait listed. If I decide not to go here, I'll make sure to let the department know promptly. I'm still waiting to hear back from several other schools.

No email yet. I checked the website.

two years of research experience, I agree with previous comments about the nature of rejection being rude and short.

one first-author publication, two other publications, Chinese National Grauate Fellowship, two-year working experience as engineer in leading scientific software company. Interview with POI in Dec. and waiting for the funding info.

Form letter email alerting me that I've been wait listed. I already accepted another offer to a PhD program, so good luck to anyone else on the waitlist.

Zero internships and barely any work experience. My LOR and SOP must've won them over!

highest fellowship package offer, but still only enough to cover tuition. no excess for living.
