Mechanical Engineering, Massachusetts Institute of Technology On my application I put initial degree objective as Masters and final degree objective as PhD. My acceptance e-mail says that I have been admitted to the "graduate program" without specifying which degree. Does this mean I was accepted to Masters or PhD? If Masters, does this change/affect funding in any way? I am very excited and was kind of thrown off by this acceptance! Multiple years of UG research, summer internship in R&D branch of large company, 1 year work experience at FFRDC. One publication submitted for review, two in progress, one UG conference presentation. Strong LORs.

Mechanical Engineering, Massachusetts Institute of Technology Undergrad student from IIT Madras (GPA-9.88, 5 publication (IJST, Physical reviews, and conferences) Interview with two poi (initials-DMP), I mentioned in sop. AOI: Solid mechanics and also interested in CFD. Reco from three strong POI's from IITM, MIT, Harvard, as I interned w them. Interview was short of 26 mins, discussion about previous projects. Offer letter to arrive soon.

Biological Engineering (BioE, BE), Massachusetts Institute of Technology Two summers at US universities (one of them MIT), six months at a biotech startup (an MIT spinoff). Pretty good rec letters, many conference posters, pubs in preparation (none published). Beyond ecstatic!!!
