Hello, I regret to inform you that we cannot offer you admission to our doctoral program for Fall 2020. Every year, we receive applications from many more qualified students than we can accept. In addition to standard admissions criteria, we also assessed the fit between your interests and our faculty's strengths. In the end, we concluded that we are a better match with other applicants. Unfortunately, due to the volume of admissions files, we cannot provide individual feedback on the reasons for our decision. Thank you for considering Political Science at Syracuse University. Received an email notifying me that I have been wait-listed and invited to the open house for a follow-up interview (March 6).

I got an email saying I got an invitation to the recruitment day, at the end of the email it says "Again, we congratulate you on your academic achievements and look forward to welcoming you to UC Davis this fall."

I was notified of my acceptance and funding (full, 5 years) two days after a group skype interview.
