Graduate School Admission Results

9.1 cgpa from Top 5 IITS. 2 papers in ok conferences in Robotics (1 first author paper). Track: Robotics/AI

Generic rejection. My GPA is 3.55 from graduating from CMU, applied directly to PhD. I have 6 publication (ACL, ICMLA, etc.) with one bedt paper award from ACL. I applied to the NLP group.

Quite expected after seeing many rejections. Hope not the same trend everywhere else. 4.0, a top US school, 3 pubs (1 journal). NLP

Is there anyone also did not receive neither acceptance mail nor rejection mail? Seems UW does not have a waitlist?

Well well well didn't really expect much after seeing POI was interviewing some ~20 people

Top U from China, two years' working experience, no pubs

7 publications (3 Journals, 4 conferences), 1 workshop organizer, 3 first author. I guess they sorted based on GPA, my Master's GPA was not very well (3.7). My focus was on research and all my courses were Ph.D. level. Sad.

Top US CS school undergrad. Worked for two years after graduation. No papers. No interview.

Two 1st-author papers jn top conference. One 2nd-author paper in top conference.

Only school I've been rejected from. Hard to not be a little bit sad about it, but I got into CMU, UIUC and other top programs.

Area: systems. Not my first choice, but still would have been nice to get a chance and talk to someone.

Expected

No Interview. Expected result, disappointed though.

Friends and UW said they admitted very few people this year due to covid and other reasons.

MS from top-50 university. Current RA at a top-5 university.

I got interviewed for Comp. Bio. I thought it went well. But got a rejection today. I wonder what's the criteria for acceptance!!

"We regret to inform you that we will not be offering you admission.... We received over 2400 applications this year and were not able to admit all competitive applicants. The Graduate Admissions Committee evaluated the applications very carefully and had to make difficult decisions, denying admission to many excellent candidates because of the limited number of available slots." Well~ one school off the list. Stay hopeful.

Wasn't expecting them to get back so soon! Generic email rejection. Not great fit with profs at the school, not upset by the rejection.
