In any interview, either from a department of economics or a business school (business economics), the most common questions are why you want to do the economics PhD program at that particular school, and what your strengths and weaknesses are. How will your strengths help you successfully finish your program and get a job that you will want to have? What do you plan to do to overcome your weaknesses? |

To reply to the question, everything I was told was unofficial. From the email I got, it sounded like the MS and PhD committees would be meeting soon. AFAIK, AEM has not started giving formal admissions decisions yet to PhD or MS applicants. |
